Fear and Homeopathy
I was talking to a client the other day and as we had finished I ended with my usual response "take care"
She quickly said " I really don't like people saying that to me because it is based in fear"
I was completely taken aback.
First - because that was not how I intended it and second -- I could see where she was coming from!
We are often conditioned with fear from an early age and so much of our everyday language reflects that. We are often totally unaware of the framework from which we perceive the world .
I started looking for a phrase that I could use instead. How difficult could that be I thought!
This is not a response to a loved one or immediate family, but more for a slightly more formal situation. I also rejected some of the more relgious sayings which, because of overuse or even cultural differences, can sometimes lose their meaning.
So I ran through a few things.....Be Careful ..Take Care.... Drive careful........
I would welcome any suggestions!
Then I started thinking about Fear itself.
Fear is an unpleasant feeling of perceived risk or danger, real or not. Fear also can be described as a feeling of extreme dislike to some conditions/objects, such as: fear of darkness, fear of ghosts, etc. It is one of the basic emotions.
This basic emotion in todays world it has often been re-labeled or packaged differently or broken down into even smaller packages.
Not because it is new or has been unregognised but because there is a new drug that needs a NEW group of symptoms to treat.
Here are a few remedies that might be helpful and often work as great fear busters!

Aconite
Fear is intense, so much so that the patient becomes frantic, screams, groans, gnaws the fist, bites the nails, fears death/wants to die .May even predict the hour of death.
These patients are much worse around midnight and may wake up terrified at this time -especially children. There is great anxiety, agonizing fear, and restlessness. Fear of death, of crowds, or crossing the streets, torture. Afraid to go out of the house -often in old people. Terror stricken.
Argentum Nitricum
Fear of impending evil. What if????? Thoughts like this always in the mind - churning stomach, may have diarrhea with the anxiety. Makes lists about what they have to do in case they forget. Impulsive behavior which they cannot seem to control - often binge eating on lots of sweets. Fear of high buildings, crowds, of the dark. Has to hurry and walk fast.
Arnica
This person is in shock and says he is alright though obviously isn't. Flinches away from comforting touch. Fear of being struck or touched, or approached, of sickness or instant death at night, of crowds, public places. Speaks slowly with effort when spoken to. Easily frightened -small things make him jump.
